mr blue sky

After having slept for like three and a half hours, on Friday morning I handed in the dissertation (yay). Feeling exhausted and sleepy, in the afternoon I went shopping, looking for something to wear for the boat party while thinking that may be I shouldn't even go since I seriously needed some sleep but realizing that I'd already bought the ticket and so I should go. Anyways, I was in one of the stores on Oxford street and they played this lovely cover of 'Mr Blue Sky' by Lily Allen, which put me in a good mood.

Realizing that I must go home and at least take a nap otherwise I'd collapse at the party, I decided on something, ie a pair of gray, skinny, patterned pants and a striped jacket to go with my striped silky gray tie at home. Pattern on pattern, that was quite fun. I got back to my place and took a power nap before getting dressed and meeting up with some friends and heading towards the party where we had a blast, that is to say, lots and lots of alcohol, crazy dancing, checking out people (there were two hotties at the party), and, of course, gossiping. One of the hotties--my friends and I had no clue who he was/came with, definitely not a student at our school, though--looked like James McAvoy except hotter. And on the dance floor he was kind of divine in that scruffy, dirty blond hair with stubble, cute white boy who can dance kind of way.. We couldn't tell if he was gay or not but he was dancing the whole time with this lesbian couple. All in all it was a really fun night. Seriously I don't mean to sound misanthropic but people are so much more fun and interesting when they're drunk (me included).

Saturday I woke up at 2 pm and had brunch and coffee, killing the hang-over before meeting up with friends for dinner and drinks, came back home and watched the season finale of Lost, which was disappointing, before going to bed.

Today I'm just chilling... and realizing that a year has passed by!
